A while ago, I wrote a blog post on how to pipe roses out of buttercream (have a quick look here). I thought I’d continue with the theme of making roses by showing you how to create simple roses from sugarpaste/fondant, much like the pink roses is the picture above.

Recently, I went on a piped flowers cupcake decoration course and learnt how to decorate four different types of flowers using buttercream icing. The course was run by the same company who I did my 4 week Wilton course with – well worth a class if you’re interested in cake decorating.
